Monument and Memories

They set the headstone this week for Dad McAllister's grave.  (The wind took the flowers over, stinkin wind!) It is a beautiful stone.  Irene had it designed to make sense of all the graves around it, which are all family graves.  She had this pedigree chart put on the back showing how everyone fits together.

Now visitors there will be able to place where their ancestors fit in the pedigree.  I am glad to see a marker here.  We really miss Dad. I'm so glad for a testimony of the Savior and the gospel, it has helped as we have mourned.

I cried as I read your post! I am a little emotional today too. Senovio's two sons drove by this afternoon while we were outside and they honked and waved just like their daddy did to me and the kids....I cried like a baby!! Even knowing where they are it is still hard to be left behind!
I love the idea of the pedigree chart on the headstone!! Clever!

It's a beautiful marker, and that pedigree chart is great. It will mean a lot to those who are searching for ancestor links.

I have never seen one with a pedigree chart on it, that is really neat! It is a hard thing to go through, even with the knowledge we have, can't imagine not having the gospel!
